All beer serving establishments are invited to participate in International Beer Day by hosting a celebration of Beer on August 5, 2012. In past years celebratory activities have included importing exotic beers, beer flights, trivia nights, and even full blown pub-crawls. How Do I Get Started?
Getting involved in International Beer Day is a simple 3-step process:
Plan an Event that Genuinely Celebrates Beer
This means something different to every venue, but our general rule is, "If it feels like you're genuinely celebrating Beer, then you're doing it right!" Here are some examples of celebrations we've had in the past:
- Offering special deals on brews (discounts, 2-for-1 beers, all night hoppy hour...)
- Bringing in New/Special/Rare/Local beers
- Beer Flights! (Several smaller carefully selected beers in a row - a flavor journey)
- Beer Trivia with giveaways and/or beer prizes
- Delicious Food/Beer pairings
Submit Your Celebration so We Know About It
Once you've decided to celebrate International Beer Day, you need to submit your celebration using the form below. Once it's submitted we'll place your establishment on the big map of IBD celebrations, so that revelers in your area can find you on August 5th and join your International Beer Day event.
Celebrate & Document Your Festivities!
On August 5th, celebrate International Beer Day with your patrons as the world unites in celebration of beer! Don't forget to document your celebration -- we want to make a giant collage of International Beer Day Celebrations around the world, so please take pictures of your event and help us show the many faces of beer-love.

Hosting Details
In an effort to assure that all revelers on International Beer Day have an excellent experience, we ask that all participating venues certify that their IBD event consists of festivities above and beyond their normally scheduled activities. That is to say, please don't just re-title your normal Friday night special an "International Beer Day Special" and hope no one will notice -- It's a celebration of beer, plan something exciting!
Every verified IBD event will be placed on our big map of celebrations, so that revelers can find their way to your party on August 5th. Each venue will also be allowed to make full use of the official International Beer Day logos in association with their 2011 IBD celebration. (Just to be clear, this doesn't grant your establishment permission to speak officially on behalf of International Beer Day, just like we won't assume to speak on behalf of your establishment. Fair deal, right?)
